To everyone who came out to the Tea Party Convention, thank you! 

There were about 300 people who decided to spend their Saturday in Holt, learning about grassroots activism and what We the People can do to take back our state.  MI Fairtax won the straw poll for ballot initiatives and really did a good job getting their folks involved.  We were joined by three Candidates for Governor, Mike Cox, Pete Hoekstra, and Terri Lynn Land.  There were a few other elected officials there including Tom McMillin, who has decided to sign the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. We will be watching, Tom!  We even had a few operatives from the tax and spend crowd in the audience who provided a great case in point of what citizen journalists can do with a flip camera and courage to go into “enemy” territory. 

What else did we accomplish?

1. Folks from across the state were able to network and plan what they want to do in their community to make a difference.

2. We started the conversation about a possible ballot initiative to give Michigan some CPR- Citizen’s Proposing Reform.

3. We proved that this movement is more than just standing and yelling at big buildings; and we are just getting started.

Want to be a Tea Party Delegate?

The Delegate Status is an important part of the Tea Party movement. Delegates are leaders in their communities or groups around the State and will be charged with representing the interests of their groups and communities within the Tea Party movement.  Delegates will be trained  to screen candidates in their area.  

Here’s how to become a Delegate:

1. Delegates will need to donate $10 to the New Patriot Revolution as a sign of commitment.  The funds will only be used to pay for printing, postage and special events.   If you are a Delegate, or want to be, Click Here for the Michigan Tea Parties website.

2.  We will send you an e-mail with a Delegate number and add you to our mailing list.  Later this year we will be holding a training for Delegates to screen candidates within their own office.
